Harry Wade
Harry Wade (b.1995) is an artist working out of Cornwall, UK. His practice centres on painting, but also incorporates photography, moving image, sound, and more recently, three-dimensional work.
These mediums inform a reflexive, philosophical practice, built upon postmodern deconstruction, and shaded by modern hopefulness. More broadly, his practice acts as a form of research about ‘the’ creative process, which is often the subject of his reflective and essayistic writing.
"My paintings reflect my personal pursuit to question reality and life. Many themes drive the work, but they are threaded together by curiosity for the world (and beyond), and fuelled by love and awe for the sheer impossibility and brilliance of it all."

The Artist Open Call Collection 2023
“This series of paintings joins together two bodies of work: Untitled series and Dark Series. The title refers to paradoxes in language, the fluidity of meaning within cultural and personal contexts, and the challenges in reconciling conceptual frameworks with lived experience.
These themes are not illustrated but instead, act as fuel for the production of paintings and reflective writing. Theories are simultaneously constructed and deconstructed and the paintings are an imprint of this explorative process. They may be taken as photographs of the conscious processes undergone; snapshots of personal discovery; realisations and revelations; and moments in consciousness.” - Harry Wade, Untitled Series and Dark Series
