Jay Harper is a British painter based in Bristol, England. Instinctively focused on capturing a feeling, Jay will often use different methods of painting depending on mood. Sometimes painting from a direct reference and other times planning an idea in her mind, and letting that come through in a more free-form spirit. She has a great fondness of muted colour and shape, which are both the foundations of her artworks. Painting with oil onto wood, Jay will often wipe away paint she’s applied to reveal pre-primed colours, playing with the idea of when a work is finished, ever careful to not paint past the feeling.
Jay graduated from Falmouth University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design. She naturally develops paintings as if they were a part of a collection, very much working in the way she was taught. These collections tell stories, often hinting at hidden meanings and messages within. This merging of Fine Art and Design is how Jay arrived at her style you see today.

Once you have received your artwork, you have 14 days to return it to us for a full refund if you are not happy with it. Please note that the work must be returned in its original condition and in its original packaging. You are responsible for the cost of the return shipment, and we reccomend that you use a tracked and signed for service.
