In the lead-up to Valentine's Day we're celebrating the brilliant husband and wife duo behind Jamb, Charlotte Freemantle and Will Fisher.

From the moment they met at New York's Balthazar, they knew they were what each other was missing, in business and in life. They proved it by creating the go-to spot for the finest antique and reproduction fireplaces, lighting and furniture, as well as building a family with children Eliza and Monty, and their cats and dogs.

Conversations With Friends

Will: Of all the countries we’ve travelled to together which has your favourite memories?

Charlotte: They are split between Rome and Corfu, Rome is our place, for us and Corfu is where we have all our family memories of eleven years and now we are lucky enough to now have a home.

Will: If you could change 10 things about me what would they be?

Charlotte: Only 1 thing!! Stop buying souvenir mugs with logos on that muddies my array of studio ceramics beauties.

Charlotte: I loved you pretty much from the moment I met you. Probably when I realised how disorganised you were that I knew you couldn’t do without me!

Charlotte: what memory of our 16 years would you like to have again?

Will: I’m forever nostalgic of the early days and the kids being tiny but able to speak. Holidays in France and our time spent in Greece, I’ve loved it all.

Will: It would have to be the original globe, it’s iconic of our brand in every way. The excitement of creating a world-class product from exquisite lost wax casting to its handmade frame and glass still motivates me today. We were the first to launch a globe light and I think it caught the world’s imagination. I still believe it remains unrivalled today.

Charlotte: What are you most proud of achieving with me?

Will: I feel we are inseparable in our vision for the company. To have my wife and kindred spirit as my business partner has been an extraordinary journey and one I feel so privileged to have shared.

Favourite spot for a date in London? The Camberwell Arms pub

Last film you both loved? The Swimmers

Your song? 'Love Song' by Elton John. A close friend and musician Jeff Knightly played it for us at our wedding - stripped back just his voice that sounds like John Martyn and his guitar. It was perfect.

Favourite thing you make for each other? We hardly have time to make a cup of tea but on a Sunday a roast is wonderful

Favourite creative couple? The artists: James Plumb
