Artist
Lorenzo Muratorio Cavichioni
Lorenzo is a ceramic artist and architect based in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Obstáculo is his project of ceramic objects, where he plays with the possibilities of use and their relationship with space.
Having studied architecture at university, he started working with ceramics creating new fantastic places and atmospheres that he used to pursue in architecture while embracing imperfections and the unpredictable nature of the clay.
"The name of the collection is inspired by Mort Garson’s album “Mother Earth's Plantasia”, which was supposed to be music for plants and people who love them. I love how the tracklist conducts the listener to a different universe and that is my main goal with my work. Shapes that could be under water, inside a body or even outside this planet. Objects that were taken from their natural habitat and are about to move and tell a story."
