Julianna Byrne’s practice explores the ethereal, blending intricate mythological motifs with expansive, abstract color fields. Reimagining traditional landscapes as haunting, atmospheric dreamscapes, her work beautifully bridges the literal and the spiritual. Alongside her delicate gouache and ink botanical drawings that reframe traditional engravings, Julianna specializes in large-scale bespoke murals inspired by Japanese art and Italian frescoes. Her distinctive, serene style has led to high-profile commercial and private commissions globally.

Now based in Cornwall, Julianna has completed prestigious artist residencies in rural Ireland and at Ennismore Sessions House. Her notable career highlights include a solo show at Alex Eagle Studio and a major collaborative exhibition in Mumbai. She frequently partners with leading international design brands, including Trove by Studio Duggan and Farrow & Ball, for whom she created a live mural installation in London.
