Fanny Schultz
Fanny Schultz is a ceramic artist based in the Swedish countryside.
She has been using crafts and arts as a second language since she was a kid and has a background in classic graphic printing and illustration. Six years ago she discovered her passion for sculpting in stoneware clay. Since then, Fanny likes to combine her flair for painting with sculpting and working three-dimensionally.
She enjoys the middle ground between functionality and artistry, by creating pieces that have balance, purpose and sentimentality. Fanny has always been inspired by colour combinations, shapes and patterns.
"I try to find a calm and a flow in my work, I strive for some kind of clarity – even if it’s only obvious for me. It usually results in the motifs becoming a repetitive and slightly crooked pattern." - Fanny Schultz

“Each plate in this series is carefully shaped and painted by hand. Inspired by natural elements the patterns reflect a harmony of organic motifs in the shape of dreamy cornflowers in blue and lilac. They are crated from durable stoneware, which makes them ideal for both everyday use, or as an art piece on the wall. This little collection of hand-painted ceramics includes a blend of tradition and contemporary style, designed to make everyday moments a bit more thoughtful.” — Fanny Schultz
The Floral Collection
“This collection combines the delicate beauty of withering flowers with the solid feel of stoneware. I have always loved the time of year when nature shifts from vibrant and lush to a more calm and melancholic state of beeing. The colors becomes muted and the flowers suddenly does'nt require anything from the observer, that calms me. But it's a short state, soon all floral is covered by frost since I live in the northern Europe. So, with this collection I wanted to freeze frame the effortless beauty in the state of life and decomposition.” - Fanny Schultz, The Floral Collection
