Kettle's Yard
Kettle's Yard House and Gallery holds one of the most groundbreaking collections of modern and contemporary art at present. Formerly the home of Helen and Jim Ede, they accumulated this immense and visionary curation of artworks, through their work, friendships, and many travels. Starting from nothing as young curators, most artworks were gifted to them by artists like Joan Miro, Henri Gaudier-Brzeska, or Alfred Wallis.
"An art gallery or museum, nor... simply a collection of works of art reflecting my taste or the taste of a given period. It is, rather, a continuing way of life from the last fifty years, in which stray objects, stones, glass pictures, sculpture, in light and in space, have been used to make manifest the underlying stability" -Jim Ede about Kettle's Yard
