Lily Rose Fine

Main banner for Lily Rose Fine, British/Canadian painter working with oils, acrylics, oil pastel and charcoal for Partnership Editions.

LILY ROSE FINE

Lily Rose Fine creates evocative, atemporal pieces that speak to the idea of relics, integrating found objects and antique furniture alongside oils, acrylics, pastel, and charcoal. This multi-layered approach melds personal memory with the mystery of found photographs, exploring how physical items become uniquely imbued with meaning over time.

The British-Canadian artist earned a Bachelor of Design from OCAD University in 2019, before graduating from The Royal Drawing School’s Drawing Year in 2023.

Imbued with suggestive symbolism, her compositions intentionally welcome ambiguity. By layering these open-ended visual clues, Lily invites viewers to project their own histories onto the canvas and write their own narratives into the pieces. This connection directly mirrors her intuitive approach to her subjects. As Lily notes:

“A portrait is a delicate combination of who someone really is and how I personally see them. Much like getting to know a friend, the experience is an act of getting to know someone, balancing intimate details with their impression as a whole.”

Alongside her artistic practice, Lily is available for portrait commissions -
