About The Artist
Emily Forgot is an interdisciplinary artist who creates striking sculptural compositions inspired by architecture and interior design. Working predominantly with wood, she constructs vibrant, un-forgettable "assemblages" modeled on her surroundings. These contoured creations reflect a mix of real, fictitious, and re-imagined buildings, playfully inhabiting the curious space between 2D illustration and 3D art.
Originally from Sheffield, Emily has lived and worked in London since graduating from the Liverpool School of Art and Design in 2004. Alongside developing her dynamic visual language, she runs the popular design blog Muse & Maker and collaborates with high-profile clients, including the V&A and Somerset House.
"Inspired by design history and architecture, places visited and spaces imagined my pieces are often about giving form to memories - they become a souvenir of a time, a place and a feeling.”
