English artist, Lara Voce, paints still life works which have an abstract quality. She explores everyday objects, simplifying their forms and exploring texture through her application and layering of paint.
Her work is characterised by an unusual luminosity. The painted surface is in no sense superficial. It is achieved by a meticulous series of processes: painting, layering, sanding, repainting. Sometimes, the final work contains hints of earlier imagery and previous compositions. She works from memory, exploring a putative composition through repetitive line drawings; some of which are developed into an artwork, a painting, always in acrylic for its immediacy. During the process, the layers of paint, the sanding, but most of all the eye, contribute to the creation of the finished work of art.

Once you have received your artwork, you have 14 days to return it to us for a full refund if you are not happy with it. Please note that the work must be returned in its original condition and in its original packaging. You are responsible for the cost of the return shipment, and we reccomend that you use a tracked and signed for service.
