Lisa Hardy creates soothing, organic abstractions that capture the essence of the natural world. Working in acrylics with a lightness of touch, she combines beautiful colour pairings with minimalist mark-making to translate the impressions of seasons, scents, and flora. Her emotive style has a calming effect, allowing viewers to recall personal moods and memories associated with the countryside.

Lisa earned a first-class honors degree in Fine Art Textiles from Winchester School of Art. She then spent 15 years in London as a luxury fashion PR Director, later relocating to Hastings to tap back into her creativity. Today, she paints and draws from a converted barn in West Wales, responding directly to the diverse beauty of her surroundings.

“My work aims to capture a feeling, conveyed with loose, expressive, mark making. The work is largely driven by intuition; often I have no plan but just see where the process takes me.”
