This October Partnership Editions presents ‘Emblems’, a group exhibition by Eryn Lougheed, Lily Snowden-Fine and Sophie Glover held at Lant Street Wine.
Emblems considers the experience of meaning and memory through objects. Gesturing towards art historical archetypes of still life and tableau, these works bring together ideas of domesticity, ephemerality, and theatricality.
Made using muted, dark, autumnal or milky palettes shot through with visceral reds - Sophie's paintings repetitively layer and return to certain themes and imagery; each new painting is made from the last and repeating icons constantly reappear.
